Let It Shine

Today I have a pretty simple DIY to share with you. I remember seeing ceramic tiles all over Pinterest. Gosh, that was months and months ago. I remember thinking it was such an awesome idea to make them into coasters. For one it is easy to do  and for two it is a great way to customize something to match your style and decor. If you did some home renovating and have a few extra tiles left over this is a great DIY to put them to use rather than let them lie around collecting dust. Or if you are like me you'll find some at a garage sale for a steal. I paid fifty cents for eight tiles. Or I guess you might be extra lucky to find some while curb shopping. I have no idea how long I've had my tiles waiting around for me to work on them. Wait a second ...nope I can't remember when I purchased these ceramic tiles. I'm so weird sometimes. I worked on this no sew sleeve transformation months ago then forgot about it. I found the pictures already transferred into a file on my computer called no sew sleeves. And I was like - oh yah. That's what I`ll post this week. Easy right? I don't know. I just had a hard time figuring out what to call this. Please Share the Love Have you ever bought something because you thought, I can make something with that? Or kept something because you thought, I can use that for a project? But had no clue what you could use it for? Well that's how this pretty little DIY Picture Frame came to be. I knew I wanted to make something with these simple rolled felt flowers that I saw on the net. I had these red and white felt Christmas tree skirts that had no purpose other than waiting to be used on some kind of project. The felt cried out to be made into roses so that is exactly what I did with the red felt.  Not wanting to leave the white felt out I decided to use it to cover the frame. Once it was assembled the frame looked a little naked. That's when I decided to grab the dollar store red doily which I purchased for just an occasion. Please Share the Love Hi again. I thought I'd try another recycle project for the Creative Challenge . My last creation was called Magical Transformations which you can see HERE . It was whimsical, sparkly and pretty. Just what every princess needs. This week I'm making something I need. I know I can go out and buy something but what fun would that be. Besides I can make exactly what I want in a few minutes and say it only cost pennies. So here it is. My animal print pencil holder made from a pop bottle. And my granddaughters old skirt. Hello. And Welcome. I am so glad you are here. I hope you like today's project.  My six year old granddaughter and I enjoyed creating our very own unique ornaments for the Christmas tree. Button Christmas Tree Ornaments I had a bit of stretchy cord that's used to string beaded necklaces or bracelets so we used it to make our tree ornaments. I decided to make my ornaments look like pine trees. I alternated dark green and light green buttons to add a bit of visual interest. I also added two small dark green buttons to the bottom.
