Microfiber cloths are wonderful tools for green cleaning and they can last up to 500 washes if cared for properly.  Here are a few simple things to remember. Do: Wash your microfiber clothes separate from the rest of your laundry.   You want to avoid your microfiber cloths from picking up lint or fibers from other items like sweaters or towels.  You can place your cloths in a delicates laundry bag to protect them from getting covered with lint. Wash in cold water.    It will not harm the microfibers. Add laundry detergent to the laundry . Follow instructions on detergent bottle for the size of load - ideally liquid soap. Tumble dry on low or no heat.   Too much heat can melt the micro fibers eliminating it's effectiveness. Do not: Do not use your microfiber cloths to clean up grease, oil, or to polish because it cannot be removed from the cloth and it will leave behind  grease stains and flattened patches.   D...

You can save money on cleaning products but still get your home squeaky clean. As we all know restocking our home with cleaning products can get very costly. You could easily spend a large chunk of your grocery budget and not have much left over for food. I know there are all kinds of information out there explaining how to make your own cleaning products and save money. What I`m saying is skip the whole notion that you need to purchase or make any cleaning products but still get your home squeaky clean. Before you start thinking I am completely crazy I have to admit I do buy dish soap and laundry detergent. Hi everyone, I'm Darlene and I am so happy you decided to join me. Today I am sharing my latest crochet project - crocheted tea towel holders. They have been on my list for quite some time and I finally got around to doing it. I had an idea of what I wanted but it sorta came together once I had the yarn and crochet hook in my hands. I knew I wanted a ring to hold the towel. My first thought was shower curtain rings but I didn't have any extras just laying around the house and I didn't want to purchase them. Thinking, thinking, thinking. Then I had a light bulb moment. Don't you just love those? Bracelets. They are the perfect size and they come in all kinds of colors and styles. I was absolutely delighted to find a set of bracelets at the dollar store. They were perfect and so pretty. I made this first tea towel holder with the jade bracelet for my daughter who loves green. Hi everyone, I'm Darlene and I am so happy you decided to join me. Reusable shopping bags are so handy and not just for shopping. They come in all sizes and are great for carrying anything from shoes, books to overnight items - heck they are even great for groceries. It's true, they are useful but aren't too darn attractive.  My solution is to add some pizzazz. Cover up the company logo and personalize the reusable shopping bags. I started with a plain black reusable shopping bag that had a a company's name stitched on the front and one of my granddaughter's favorite t-shirts that she outgrew. I cut closely around the image on the t-shirt and cut a four inch strip along the bottom. I used a darning needle and black yarn to stitch the image onto the bag. It looked a little plain so I stitched around the heart shape with pink yarn. The color was a perfect match. Thinking that Faith would like more on her bag, I stitched several stars rand...
