Wordless Wednesday - Skating on Plastic

Image
Yep, they are skating on plastic. Every year the city installs this little rink in the downtown area. My girls and I love taking advantage of the free skating. They actually stayed on their feet more than the last time they went. Sorry. I don't skate. I help put the skates on and off then I get to watch go with huge smiles on their faces. They don't stop grinning ear to ear until it's time to go home. POST A COMMENT I love to read your opinions and comments. It makes my day.  Bye for now.  Wishing you the best, Darlene My apologies, all anonymous comments are deleted due to an excessive amount of spam.

A No Sew Long Sleeve T-Shirt Transformation

Image
I'm so weird sometimes. I worked on this no sew sleeve transformation months ago then forgot about it. I found the pictures already transferred into a file on my computer called no sew sleeves. And I was like - oh yah. That's what I`ll post this week. Easy right? I don't know. I just had a hard time figuring out what to call this. What would be the best title to grab attention and best describe what I made.  First was it a DIY.  A refashion, transformation or reconstruction. No not a reconstruction. What about upcycle. Is this just a t-shirt or is it a long sleeve T. I know. I was over thinking it. I don't usually do that. Most times I find it pretty simple to title a blog post. I just call it  what it is. Plain and simple. So here is my DIY No Sew Long Sleeve T-shirt Transformation/ Reconstruction/ Upcycled Project. First you'll need a long sleeve t-shirt. Or I guess you could also use a pair of yoga pants - any type of garment that won't fray wh...

Oval Rag Rug - Lickety Split

Image
Hi. So glad your here to check out my latest project. How do you like the title. Weird word eh? Lickety. I can't remember when I actually said it out loud. How bizarre. Anyhow. I made this beautiful red crocheted rag rug for my daughter Cole. I always thought purple was her favorite color but I guess when it comes to home decor red is it. I love red so that's why I called this rug gorgeous. Isn't Penelope cute? She is a recent addition to Cole's little family.  If you are interested, this is my daughter's blog HERE . Yah she looks like her Dad. Actually Cole has been waiting patiently for this rug for a very long time. I had the material about a year ago and it just sat in my closet waiting for me to rip it up. Sometimes the fibers from material play havoc on my sinuses and I end up with a severe headache. I know I could cut it with scissors and avoid the whole pain thing but I love how a rag rug looks with all those strands mussing it up. As wi...
