Six Petal Crocheted Flower Pattern

Crocheted flowers are everywhere and I can see why. They are just so pretty. And versatile.

You can add a crocheted flower to just about anything to fancy it up. And it doesn't matter if you actually crocheted the project or have an existing item that you want to be a little bit fancier. (I read Fancy Nancy to my granddaughter last night. Can you tell?)

Like what you ask? Well. Hats for sure. A blanket. A sweater or sweater dress. A pencil case. A scarf. Hairband. What else? Can you think of anything else?

You get the picture. So once you have the flower all you need is a darning needle and yarn to tack the flower on. It's actually quite simple.

So I guess you want a flower right? You can crochet one or you could purchase one at my Etsy Shop.

If you are going to make your own crocheted flower I would guess on a scale from one to ten with one being very simple and ten being very difficult, I would say crocheting these flowers are about a seven.

I think the hardest part is how to add the next row of petals but like most things, once you get the hang of it and you're a fast crocheter you'll be able to make a flower in fiften minutes or less. I think.

Supplies

  • worsted weight yarn in the colour of your choice
  • 5.0 mm (H/8) crochet hook

***Special Instructions***

Rows of petals are added to the back of the flower.

sc into back center stitch of petal means:
You are to make a single crochet into one of the vertical strands in the middle of the petal.
